Here I present to you, another entry that we posted to the Alexking’s Competition.

Patricia designed it and I made it into a theme. We have been trying to name it differently, like ‘GreenTunnel’ or ‘TunnelRide’ or ‘LonelyTraveller’ etc. Finally, Patricia decided to call it ‘Connections’ as she sees it connects the past and the future.

This is one of the best WP 1.5 themes I’ve come across. I used it on my site almost immediately! Wonderful job, Patricia and Sadish!! :)

Hi, Love this theme, added my own greenish image to remind me of France in the summer!

Only one problem is the formating in the right column if you add a page, have a look here http://www.thequest.co.uk/?page_id=5 you get a dot appear in the heading.

I think what you have is the version of the theme, that we originally submitted to Alex.

Please download the latest version from this website. It has a fix for your issue.

Thanks Sadish I cant remember where I got it from now, I will have a play. I was looing at the sidebar.php but could not see where to fix it :-( I will do some downloads. I noticed it on Fasttrack as well ?

i like the connection-theme - thank you!

But i have a problem
often the sides are not built complete. the user has to reload to get the whole page. i tried this with ie and thunderbird an on serveral systems - allways the same.

is this a known problem - and is there a solution!

I have modified the graphics in this theme on my site (www.digitalstakeholders.org/blog) and I have been quite pleased with it. The only problem I am having is the “next page” at the bottom does not take you to the previous posts. It always says nothing meets the criteria. I know there are lots of previous posts, but I am new to WP and I am unsure how to fix this.

Any ideas?

I have even played with the code suggested on this page of the Codex:

Has anyone gotten the next at the bottom of the theme to work? I looked at the WP Themes page and it doen’t use the next, it says for me see the archives.

This would be a work around, but it would be nice if it would work right.

The Connectons template rendered perfectly on the Mac browsers. IE 5.2, Firefox, and Safari.

Good afternoon Patricia, after looking through over 200 themes for WP,
your “Connections” theme shone out for its beautiful simplicity
masking a quite complex paging …wonderful!

Unfortunatly, every time I try to install it … it fails — giving
me a error;

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required ‘post.php’
(include_path=”) in
/home/www/barganews/bargajazz/bargajazz_blog/wp-content/themes/connections/index.php
on line 25

I have CHMODed all the files and folders up to 777 but still it
refuses to play ball.

I am getting desperate … I really do think that your Connections
Theme is the best I have seen so far on WP but for the moment I am
unable to you it….can you please help ….

Can you please do something against this spam comments, e.g. use some plugins? I have written one which is pointing on sending POST requests to wp-comments-post.php. They must have send an “authentication code” within the script’s name.
