Here comes the long-awaited (atleast by Patricia ;) ) version of Fleur-De-Lys.

We call it the ‘Fleur-De-Lys GrapeWine’

For this package, I have also included the original and the blue versions. Once you uploaded to your server, you will see 3 folders inside the ‘themes’ folder.

1. ‘fleur’ for the Original Version
2. ‘fleurb’ for the Blue Version
3. ‘fleurg’ for the GrapeWine Version

Now you can change the simple.php to point to any of the three folders and see how it looks on your website and then you can choose what you want.

This We call it Fleur-De-Lys V2.0 and it is an all-in-one package.

On a Permanent Link page, I wanted to display the previous 5 posts.

I searched the WP Community Forum, but couldn’t find one.

Then I got another plugin for Recent Posts , by Nick Momrik and made a copy of that and created a new plugin.

Now I present it to you Previous ‘n’ Posts Plugin.

The Usage is quite simple
<h2>Previous Posts</h2>
<ul>
<?php get_previous_posts(6, ‘<li>’, ‘</li>’, true, $post->post_date,false) ?>
</ul>

Number of posts to be displayed,
‘text to appear before link’,
‘text to appear after link’,
should_show_password_protected_post (true/ false) ?,
date of the current post,
should_show_excerpts_of_the_post (true/false)

Thats it.

Go Ahead and download the Zip file from previous_posts.zip,.
It also includes a ‘readme.txt’ file.
Just save the ‘previous_posts.php’ into your ‘wp-content/plugins’ folder in your WordPress directory and activate it from the Admin Area.

Always use the code from the readme.txt file, and do not copy it from this page.
the code that is shown in this page, is just to let you know how to use it.
Its not the actual code.

This version has the following enhancements :

1. If you are logged in to your WP, you now get the ‘Edit this’ link on each of the post.
2. Links for ‘Login’ and ‘Register’ is added in the sidebar.
3. Three Plugins that I use for this website, are also bundled in the zip.
They are

• a)dumb-comments-link.php
  When a comment is disabled for a post, it displays ‘Comments Off’.
  with default WP 1.2, the user has to click on comments, and then find out it is closed.

  The original WP 1.2 gives multiple categories as a list of items.
